Sacred Illusions (1995-98)

Most of these drawings are coloured pencil on Mylar (brand name for a type of matte drafting film), with the last two being conté pastels on paper. I would often use a mixed media approach, adding composition leaf and wallpaper directly to the Mylar or paper.

The Female Contruct (1992-94)

The large-scale conté pastel drawings were student work I produced in my final year as an undergraduate in the Art & Art History program at U of T/Sheridan College. The other drawings are coloured pencil on Mylar. The tombstone-shaped alterpiece is composition leaf on wood, with an egg tempera painting over top of the leaf (undergraduate student work).
